Background
Here, you'll find both the mission statement and a situational analysis of the subject of this marketing plan. Both artifacts frame the direction of this project, serving as useful background information to the final marketing plan.
Our mission is to create a welcoming and low-pressure environment for students to create meaningful, face-to-face connections, whether for friendships or relationships. We aim to fight loneliness, promote student well-being, and foster a supportive campus community by offering inclusive speed-dating events that encourage authentic interactions and personal growth.
The campus environment is shaped by rising mental health concerns, with many students experiencing loneliness and isolation. While dating apps like Tinder are widely used, they often result in outside connections and decision fatigue. Our speed-dating events provide an alternative, offering students the chance to meet others in a structured, face-to-face setting. However, we must overcome the convenience of digital platforms and attract students who may be accustomed to the ease of online interactions. Our competitive advantage lies in creating quality, in-person conversations that apps can't do.
